KUALA LUMPUR – Google’s Android One partner, General Mobile, made its debut in Malaysia with the introduction of the GM 5 Plus, an Android One Smartphone developed by Google.
“The phone runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. Its 64-bit architecture and A53 high-performance processor provide users with a smooth gaming or video experience throughout,” General Mobile said in a statement today.
The GM5 Plus has a front and rear 13 megapixel dual light-emitting diode flash camera with a 5.5-inch display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, it said.
“The smartphone is built from a titanium and aluminium alloy frame, which is generally used in the aviation industry,” it said.
General Mobile said the phone, which cost RM899, would be available through KWS Distribution online channels by mid-July 2017. – BERNAMA
