KUALA LUMPUR – Prospects are bright for the Barisan Nasional (BN) to capture the Kepong parliamentary seat in the 14th General Election, according to Wanita UMNO chief Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
She said that there were “winds of change” blowing in Kepong due to the rapid development contributed by BN in the constituency deemed to be a DAP stronghold.
“If not for BN, Kepong would not have seen development like this. I am more than confident that we can wrest Kepong this time,” she said when launching Kepong BN election machinery today.
She added that talk that incumbent MP Dr Tan Seng Giaw would not be defending the seat was another factor why prospects were bright for BN to take the seat. – BERNAMA
