TAIPING – The body of a gardener was found in a pool of blood by a member of the public at Pengkalan Sungai Kerang, Padang Gajah near Trong yesterday.
District Police chief ACP Harrith Kam Abdullah said the deceased Wong Chee Kheong, 43, was found with injuries to the head, cheeks and arm after he was believed to have been attacked with a sharp weapon at about 9.35pm.
“Initial investigation revealed the victim was believed to have been attacked by a male suspect out of anger or jealousy for allegedly having an intimate relationship with his wife,” he said in a statement here today.
He was police were hunting for the 43-year-old suspect, who lived in the same village as the victim, and his Thai wife after they fled following the incident.
Without disclosing further details, Harrith Kam said the suspect had a previous drug related record. — Bernama
