PETALING JAYA – Petrol prices will go up by one sen while diesel will increase by three sen for the first week of September.
The new price for RON95 will be RM2.16 per litre and RON97 will be priced at RM2.44 from midnight.
Diesel will go up by three sen to RM2.04 per litre.
The new prices, which were announced on RTM1 on Wednesday evening, will take effect from 12.01 am on Aug 31 until Sep 6.
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect in April this year, and the prices of petrol and diesel had been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014 following the removal of fuel subsidies. – The Star
