It’s official: Fouziah Gous will take over the hosting duties of TV3’s Nona for the length of 2015.
The actress replaced previous hosts of the long-running women interest show, Neelofa and Fara Fauzana.
Admitted that she was still in shock and disbelief following her appointment as a presenter, Fouziah said the gig was definitely a dream come true.
“I was invited as a guest host some time back, but the thought of taking the helm of the programme never once crossed my mind,” she said.
Like her predecessors, Fouziah was an interesting choice for the network, as she was mostly known an actress first and foremost.
However, not wanting to waste the golden opportunity, Fouziah heeded the call and faced the challenges head-on.
“Who in their right minds would turn down such coveted chance? At least, the job won’t be as demanding as acting, so I could spend more time with my husband,” added the newlywed.
Meanwhile, Fouziah let on that her new commitment meant she had to turn down acting roles for the duration of her year-long contract.
“I had to reject acting jobs to place my focus solely on the programme. I don’t want to make false promises, but I will try my hardest to fill in the shoes of a true Nona woman,” she furthered.MYNEWSHUB
