KAJANG – Police shot dead four armed house break-in suspects along the Kajang Silk Highway at 6.15am today.
The drama unfolded when the suspects attacked a team of policemen after they were stopped during crime prevention checks.
Selangor police chief Commissioner Datuk Abdul Samah Mat said a team from the Selangor Serious Crimes Division (D9) was on a crime prevention patrol when they were alerted of a house break-in attempt at Taman Saujana Impian here at about 3am.
“Following the house break-in incident, our response team started to track the suspects and they were spotted about 6.15am along Kajang Silk away,” Abdul Samah told reporters when met at crime scene today.
He said the five men armed with parang started to attack policemen upon approaching them.
“Police had no choice but had to fire at them as they did not heed the warnings,” he said.
The suspects were in their 20’s to 30’s and one of them managed to escape. Their identities have yet to be determined. – The Sun
