SINGAPORE – Hospitalised former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew has weakened further, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement Sunday.
Kuan Yew, 91, is at the intensive care unit of the Singapore General Hospital where he was admitted on Feb 5 for severe pneumonia.
Early today, Kuan Yew’s son, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and his wife, Ho Ching, joined the public on a visit to the area designated for messages of well wishes for his father outside Block 7 of the hospital.
Citizens from all walks of life continue to pray and send well wishes to the man who transformed Singapore to the economically vibrant and prosperous nation that it is today.
Kuan Yew was the first prime minister of Singapore, and administered the city state for three decades. – BERNAMA
