Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kontena Nasional Berhad (KNB) was charged at the Sessions Court here with committing criminal breach of trust involving nearly RM10 million.
Hood Osman, 46, claimed trial to committing CBT of the funds belonging to KNB by issuing eight cheques and making two telegraphic transfers totaling RM9,915,158 to a logistics company belonging to his friend.
He was alleged with committing the offence at the KNB office in Jalan Klang Lama, Seri Setia Petaling Jaya between March 24 2011 and August 24, 2012.
Meanwhile, businessman Abdul Jalil Md Tahir, 48, pleaded not guilty to abetting Hood at the same place and time.
They were granted RM100,000 bail in one surety each and the court fixed Jan 6 next year for mention.-NST
