KUALA LUMPUR – The civil service, which is the backbone of the country’s administration, should rise to the occasion and take the lead in providing dedicated and sincere service, said former CUEPACS president A. Ragunathan.
He said that in this challenging times, the civil service which was apolitical, should double its effort and galvanise the people to be united in their mission to develop the country.
“It is my fervent hope and prayer that this beautiful country can continue to develop and attain its desired goal of a developed nation,” the 80-year- old veteran unionist told Bernama Sunday.
Ragunathan, who was in the forefront to develop the civil service in the 70’s through to 90s, said that everyone should put their mind together to overcome the present hardship faced by the people due to the economic situation. – BERNAMA
