Former 90s Composer Tweets: “Siti Nurhaliza Knows Why Zamani Turned Out That Way”

in Entertainment/Latest

As video of incarcerated singer Zamani bullied into singing his hit song Gerimis Mengundang, while still in handcuffs spread like wildfire, many speculated the real reason why the singer lost his 10-year battle with drug addiction, including former powerhouse ’90s composer, Saari Amri.

Earlier today, Saari posted a cryptic message on his Facebook: ‘Dato ct (Siti) Nurhaliza knows why Zamani turned out that way’, said the status, as though suggesting Zamani’s drug relapse was caused by the heartbreak following a torn romance.

Saari Amri had since deleted the post, perhaps regretting his sudden outburst.

Zamani and Siti Nurhaliza were rumoured to be dating in the late 90s, before the two reportedly broke off the relationship. The former Slam lead singer went under the radar and disappeared from the entertainment industry a little while later.

Siti focused on her career instead, went on to continue serenading the nation with her euphonious vocals; before tying the knot with businessman, Datuk Khalid Muhammad Jiwa in 2006. She was conferred as “Dato'” after receiving the title of Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) from the Sultan of Pahang on the same year.

Meanwhile, the police have identified the police officer involved and responsible in recording and distributing a video clip featuring a famous singer while in custody.

Perhaps feeling the thunder, Siti posted a picture of the press statement on Instagram, along with a caption that urges the public to “respect other people’s dignity” .

Zamani, or his real name Zamani Ibrahim, 43, was arrested on Wednesday morning for alleged involvement in drug abuse at his house in Taman Keramat, Ampang.

He was arrested with a 32-year-old woman for allegedly possessing a plastic containing what is believed to be 1.2g of heroin.MYNEWSHUB
