KOTA BHARU – The Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) are upset with the Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) for not responding to an appeal submitted by the association to register a new import player, namely Seydi L’ Imam, from France.
Kafa secretary-general Datuk Ismail Md Noor said Kafa are disappointed with the FMLLP for not responding to their appeal although the documents were submitted two weeks ago.
“We sent an appeal letter on June 21, providing a detailed explanation and submitting the relevant documents as per FMLLP’s requirement, but we have not received any reply or response,” he told reporters here today.
The FMLLP had earlier rejected Kafa’s application to register Imam as a replacement for another import – Alessandro Padovani Celin – during the window for registration of new players.
According to FMLLP, Kafa’s application was rejected because the association had failed to submit a complete set of documents and had also failed to fulfil the criteria set for the registration of players in the M-League.
Ismail said Kafa will send a letter to seek an explanation as to why the FMLLP has not responded to their appeal.
“We need the services of Seydi L’ Imam badly because Celin is injured and could not contribute to the team’s performance. However, without a response from FMLLP we cannot make a decision on the status of Celin,” he said. – BERNAMA
