KUALA LUMPUR – Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) has extended aid worth RM250,000 for flood victims in the East Coast.
The contributions were channeled through two relief missions, namely the FGV Humanitarian Aid Mission Convoy and the Terengganu Menteri Besar Office.
“The 65-member FGV Humanitarian Aid Convoy has sent 20 tonnes of food and 19 tonnes of drinking water to Felda schemes affected by the floods for over 2,000 residents.
“Daily necessities worth RM44,000 have also been handed over to the Terengganu government for distribution by Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman,” FGV, Malaysia’s leading global agribusiness and world’s largest producer of crude palm oil, said in a statement today.
The aid is being distributed to Felda offices in Gua Musang, Lipis, and Muadzam, the Tun Razak Agriculture Research Centre, Tementi palm oil mill, the Terapai 01 Plantation, Kampung Awah, and the Jengka 21 Scheme. – BERNAMA
