PBB President, Tan Sri Adenan Satem today said the state election could be called anytime between now until June 2016, when the current term of the State Legislative Assembly would expire.
“We have a few surprises for the opposition, which we will not reveal now,” he told a press conference after chairing the PBB supreme council meeting here.
Asked whether the introduction of some new faces in the election would come as part of the surprises, he replied: “A surprise is a surprise. I cannot reveal it now.”
At present, PBB holds 35 of the 71 Sarawak state assembly seats which they won in the last state election held in 2011. – BERNAMA
