KUALA LUMPUR – Felda is in final stage of appointing a company to build the second phase Felda New Generation Housing Project (PGBF).
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Razali Ibrahim said the project costing RM899 million is expected to begin early next year.
“We are in discussion with Malaysia Building Society Bhd and Bank Simpanan Nasional to obtain financing since Felda settlers do not have pay slip,” he said
in reply to Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali (PAS-Kuala Nerus) who asked about the status of PGBF in the Dewan Rakyat, here today.
Razali said 11,530 residential units would be build under second phase PGBF which will be implemented under the private finance initiative (PFI).
PGBF aims to provide an opportunity Felda’s new generation to own homes.
In Budget 2013, it was announced that 20,000 units of houses would be build under PGBF in the next five years. – BERNAMA
