ALOR SETAR – A father who is concerned over the safety of his daughter, 23, who has gone missing since April 2 after stepping out of their house in Hutan Kampung here, is appealing for public help to trace her.
Mohd Shukri Dali, 52, from Kampung Masjid Hujung said his firstborn Noor Shuhaida had complained of toothache before going out of the house about 11.30 pm.
“The morning before the incident, Noor Shuhaida who worked as a sales assistant at a furniture store in Alor Setar, did not go to work because of the toothache. Around 11.30 pm she woke up and went outside the house after complaining about the toothache to me, wearing a t-shirt and batik sarong.
“The family only realised she was missing about 10 minutes later when we couldn’t find her outside the house. We tried calling her cell phone several times but received no response,” he told reporters here today.
Her mother, Fazilah Zakaria, 46, said she had not detected any change in her daughter before her disappearance and was worried because Noor Shuhaida never went out at night alone.
The family has also lodged a police report about her disappearence on April 3 and are appealing to anyone who knows about her whereabout to contact Mohd Shukri at 012-4207134. – BERNAMA
