LUMUT: “My heart is with you”, these were the words always uttered by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein to family members of the victims and crew of the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 that disappeared two years ago.
Hishamuddin, who was acting Transport Minister when the aircraft disappeared, hoped that members of all the victims would continue to be strong and remain patient.
“I am always with the families, my prayers are with you.
“When handling the disappearance of the aircraft, I placed the interest of members of the MH370 passengers as priority,” he told reporters after officiating the ceremony to place into position the Keel of the First Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) at the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Base, here today.
On the search operation for MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean, Hishamuddin said the mission at the location was actually most accurate based on the discovery of the two-metre long flaperon at the Reunion Island last July and parts of the aircraft in Mozambique recently.
“If I am placed in their (family’s) situation, I will be asking whether the investigations carried out by Australia, China and Malaysia would achieve the desired results,” he said.
The Boeing 777 flight MH370 which was flying to Beijing with 239 passengers and crew had disappeared in the early morning of March 8, 2014 after taking off from the KL International Airport )KLIA).
