ALOR SETAR – The Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) is collecting information on Fama entrepreneurs affected by floods in the East Coast states, Johor and Perak.
Its chairman, Tan Sri Badruddin Amiruldin said Fama officers had been directed to go to the ground two days ago to collect data on the total number of entrepreneurs involved and the total of amount of losses incurred.
He said Fama would channel various assistance such as revolving capital, motorcycle repairs as well as supplying raw materials to small and medium industry operators to restart their business.
“We will guide them again…if their three-wheel motorcycles have been washed away, we will replace them.
“A set of complete data is expected to be ready by this week,” he told reporters at a Three-Wheel Motorcycle handing over ceremony at Kedah Fama, here today. – BERNAMA
