KOTA BAHARU – Kelantan snatched a face-saving 1-0 victory against minnow KL-UKM FC in a second round FA Cup match at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium here, last night.

Kelantan coach K. Devan said the front liners were not clicking well as both import strikers, Baze Ilijoski and Dramane Traore were still finding their finishing touches.

“They are still new, and we need to give them more time to gain confidence and feel in the team,” he told reporters here.

Last night, Kelantan scored in the 83rd minute via Baze Ilijoski to qualify for the next round.

Meanwhile, KL-UKM FC assistant coach Sulaiman Hussien said the team were satisfied despite the loss to Kelantan as they bravely held Pamoga Qu Puteh The Red Warriors to almost the end of the game.

“We are proud to be able to hold powerhouse Kelantan and it would be a valuable experience for us in the league competition,” he said.
