SHAH ALAM – Barisan Nasional (BN) promised to set up an Entrepreneur Transformation Centre (ETC) in every district in Selangor if given the mandate to form the state government in the 14th General Election (GE14).
Selangor BN chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar said the ETC would serve as a one-stop centre which houses various government agencies related to entrepreneurship, such as MARA, Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, Companies Commission of Malaysia and Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad, under one roof.
“With an ETC in every district in Selangor, entrepreneurs and those who want to become entrepreneurs no longer have to go to various places to register their business or ask for a loan for their business, everything is there,” he told a press conference after opening the Shah Alam ETC at Section 14 here today.
Noh said the setting up of the ETC in Shah Alam was an initial effort and proof of BN’s concern and commitment in fulfilling its promise in its GE14 manifesto to help and encourage the young generation to venture into entrepreneurship. – BERNAMA
