KUALA LUMPUR – The Employees Provident Fund’s (EPF) Simpanan Shariah has registered a take-up of 50.25 per cent as of end-October, amounting to RM50.25 billion of the initial allocation of RM100 billion for the scheme.
To date, the scheme, which was opened for registration on Aug 8 this year, had recorded 503,734 registrations with an average registration of 167,911 per month, the EPF said in a statement today.
“Members who intend to switch to Simpanan Shariah are encouraged to visit any of EPF’s 68 branches nationwide to avoid last-minute crowd in December.
“The closing date for Simpanan Shariah 2017 will be on Dec 23, 2016, and also subject to the availability of the RM100 billion allocation, whichever is earlier,” the pension fund said. – BERNAMA
