HULU SELANGOR: Efforts to repair and monitor soilÂ movement at the Teratai Apartment in Taman Bunga Raya, here, are still ongoing.
A survey by Bernama at the scene revealed two cranes and a lorry wereÂ carrying out repairs to collapsed walls, clearing the land and disposing ofÂ rubble from the area as early as 9am today.
Also seen were rescue teams from the Public Works Department and theÂ Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, which have been frequently monitoring soilÂ movement and providing assistance to residents there.
Meanwhile, the police monitored the vehicles coming and out of the areaÂ which was also joined by the Civil Defence Department and People’s VolunteerÂ Corps (Rela).
Besides that, rescue teams such as the Special Malaysia Disaster AssistanceÂ and Rescue Team (Smart Team) and Red Crescent were also on location to assistÂ any injured victims.
Following the incident, some 1,500 residents of Teratai Apartment, Taman Bukit Raya near Bukit Beruntung were relocated on Oct 20 to a temporary relief Â centre, Sekolah Kebangsaan Bunga Raya.– BERNAMA
