KUCHING – Early voting in the 11th Sarawak State Election ended at 5 pm today.
A total of 24,604 early voters, consisting of police and military personnel and their spouses, were eligible to cast their ballots at 79 polling centres.
Thirty-three of the 79 voting centres closed at 2pm and the rest at 5pm.
As at 4pm, the voter turnout was 71 per cent.
Counting of these ballots will start at 4 pm on polling day (May 7). It will be done at the vote tallying centres in the presence of polling agents of the respective candidates. – BERNAMA
