PETALING JAYA – Pakatan Harapan has already decided on the logo it will use in the 14th General Election, says Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic).
The chairman of the Opposition alliance, however, said that it would only announce the logo at an event in Pasir Gudang, Johor on Friday (April 6) night.
“I will make the announcement,” he said on Facebook Live on Thursday morning (April 5) after a meeting of Opposition leaders in Putrajaya.
He said the meeting was to finalise Pakatan’s strategies and approach to the election, some of which would also be revealed on Friday.
“We are one. We are Pakatan Harapan and nothing is going to break us,” he said.
The Star had earlier reported that Pakatan was likely to use PKR’s logo to contest in the polls.
The Opposition alliance comprises DAP, Parti Amanah Negara, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Pribumi), and PKR.
Pakatan cannot use its official logo to contest because the Registrar of Societies has refused to register it as a formal coalition, due to ongoing investigations into Pribumi’s first annual general meeting held last December. – The Star Online
