Ahmad Zahid said as a country with diverse races and religions, the people were free to practise their religion but should always be tolerant and emphasize on the pure values such as found in every religious teachings.

Touching on the Ulul Albab programme that was carried out since eight years ago, Ahmad Zahid said it a new model to build the TN50 generation which would comprise those able to memorise the Quran from among those from the corporate world and technocrats.

It was also in line with the TN50 target to produce 125,000 ‘huffaz’ by 2050, he said.

Hence, he said Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) would set up another five MRSM Ulul Albab in Sabah, Perak, Kelantan, Pahang and Kedah compared to four at present.
