KUALA LUMPUR – All district police headquarters, police stations and barrack buildings in the Federal Territories will be upgraded for the comfort of Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) personnel, according to Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Ahmad Zahid, who is also Home Minister, said all the buildings would be repaired and repainted.
Speaking at a meet-and-greet event between the DPM and Lembah Pantai residents at the Desa Aman 1 Police Housing community hall here today, he also promised to resolve the problem of faulty elevators which occurred often at the housing area.
“I have obtained approval from the Federal Territories Minister (Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor) to replace unserviceable elevators not only in the Desa Aman 1 Police Housing but also in Desa Aman 2, and to repaint all the blocks,” he said.
Also present were Tengku Adnan and Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim.
Ahmad Zahid also said the community hall at Desa Aman 1 Police Housing would also be installed with air conditioners, so that the RMP personnel and their family members could conduct various programmes there in a more comfortable manner. – BERNAMA
