KUALA LUMPUR – Argentinian import striker Jorge Pereyra Diaz will return to strengthen Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in the second round of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup.
The Football Association of Johor (PBNJ) announced the former Argentinian League club player would be arriving in Johor Baharu this Tuesday.
“In fact his contract with JDT for the Malaysian League has been extended to 2017,” the official PBNJ Facebook site posted today.
JDT will meet Myanmar representative, Ayeyawady United FC in the second round (last 16) in the AFC Cup on a knockout format at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin on May 27.
The Southern Tigers moved into the second round of the AFC Cup after emerging champions of Group F ahead of Kitchee SC of Hong Kong, Kingfisher East Bengal (India) and Singaporean League club, Balestier Khalsa FC.
