It’s all part of the job, says Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar on the death threat made against him.
“I am unfazed by the threat to bomb my car from this group of irresponsible individuals,” said Khalid.
“They want to put Malaysia’s parliamentary democracy in a bad light. This shows that the group does not understand what is the true meaning of the democratic system which has been practiced by our country for so long,” he said in a statement Wednesday.
Khalid was responding to a video uploaded on YouTube by a group named Anak Malaysia Anti Demokrasi, which depicted three masked men threatening to bomb his car in the name of democracy.
“Such threats are the norm in the life of a police officer in carrying out his duties,” said Khalid.-The Star
