KUALA LUMPUR – Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah today presented the instruments of appointment to new Federal Court judges Datuk Balia Yusof Wahi and Datuk Wira Aziah Ali.
The King also presented similar letters to nine new Court of Appeal and five new High Court judges. The ceremony was held at Istana Negara here.
The new court of appeal judges are Datuk Zaleha Yusof, Datuk Kamardin Hashim, Datuk Mary Lim Thiam Suan, Datuk Yaacob Md Sam, Datuk Zabariah Mohd Yusof, Datuk Hasnah Mohammed Hashim, Harmindar Singh Dhaliwal, Datuk Abdul Karim Abdul Jalil and Datuk Asmabi Mohamad.
The new high court judges are Siti Khatijah S. Hassan, Datuk Mohd Zaki Abdul Wahab, Nantha Balan E.S Moorthy, Abu Bakar Jais and Datuk Che Mohd Ruzima Ghazali.
Also present at the ceremony were Federal Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali, Chief Justice of Malaysia Tun Arifin Zakaria, Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin, acting Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Datuk Nurchaya Arshad and Court of Appeal president Tan Sri Md Raus Sharif. – BERNAMA
