ALOR SETAR – The recent announcement by DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng that Perak DAP chairman Nga Kor Ming would be made a minister if Pakatan Harapan forms the government after the 14th general election (GE14) clearly shows that DAP controls the opposition coalition.
UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Mahdzir Khalid said usually the Cabinet line-up would be decided by the prime minister, and hence it was obvious that DAP was only using former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who has been named interim prime minister if Pakatan Harapan (PH) wins in GE14, to achieve their objective of ruling the country.
“Right from the beginning, I have said that PH is controlled by DAP. Tun Mahathir has been named prime minister, but it is DAP that is really in control.
“That is why Lim Guan Eng can say Nga can become a minister if Pakatan Harapan wins in Malaysia. By right, it is their so-called prime minister (Dr Mahathir) who should announce that,” he told reporters after visiting Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid here today.
When announcing Nga as the PH candidate in Teluk Intan last night, Lim said Nga would also be made minister if the opposition seizes Putrajaya in GE14. – BERNAMA
