Look who’s finally has the last laugh.

Famous comedian and actor Zizan Razak has been ordered by a Sessions Court to stop from signing any new contracts after his former personal manager succeeded to get a temporary injunction against him in relation to a breach of contract suit, reports The Star Online.

The former personal manager’s lead counsel Harjit Sandhu said on Wednesday that they have obtained an interim injunction to stop Zizan, 30, from signing any new contracts or any endorsements until permanent injunction hearing was heard by the court.

Speaking to reporters here, Harjit said that both parties have been ordered to file written submissions for the permanent injunction hearing.

“However, the status quo for all his (Zizan) current contracts, including with the Astro, remains (binding), ” he said.

In the civil suit filed on Nov 5, Marina Juki sued Zizan, whose real name is Mohd Razizan Ab Razak saying that he have signed an agreement with her and company Wire Fame Entertainment Sdn Bhd to appoint her as his personal manager.

Marina, 30, said the agreement was valid for four years from the date it was signed on May 3, 2011.

However, Marina claimed that that Astro had confirmed in May that Zizan was under its management and its RM2mil contract was done without her or the company’s consent.

She claimed that Zizan, who won Raja Lawak Season 1 as a second runner up, had breached the contract signed with her and Wire Fame and that she has 15% rights in the total income of the defendant.

Among others, she sought for RM535,500 in special damages and general damages to be assessed by the court.

According to the Wire Fame website, the award that has launched Zizan one step further in his career was when he won ‘Artis Lelaki Komedi Paling Popular’ in ‘Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian 2010’.

Prior to that, it said that Zizan had won ‘Most Favourite TV Personality Awards’ in Shout Awards 2010.

Sessions Court judge Hassan Abdul Ghani has set March 6 to decide over the permanent injunction sought by Marina.MYNEWSHUB
