The sulh process, or mediation on permanent child custody, between rock singer Awie and his estranged wife, Rozana Misbun, did not go as planned when Rozana was granted access to their children by the Syariah Hight Court, earlier this morning.
The court has allowed Rozana’s application to revoke an ex-parte injunction obtained by Awie, whose real name is Ahmad Azhar Othman, on July 16, barring her from coming into contact with him and the children, be it through the print or electronic media.
Awie was also ordered to pay his wife a sum RM900.
Meanwhile, Rozana’ lawyer is waiting for Awie’s impending affidavit submission which will serve as a clarification regarding their marriage legality, incorrect address and few other controversial issues.
On July 21, the wife of the rock singer had filed an application to set aside the temporary custody of their three children obtained by her husband.
Awie and Rozana got married in Songhkla, Thailand, on June 20, 2005. They have three children, sons Putra Ahmad Merrah, 7, and Putra Ahmad Rezzki, 6, and daughter, Puteri Qasseh Antasha, 4.
On July 4 this year, Awie, the main actor in the films, Zombie Kampung Pisang‘ and Hantu Kak Limah, was charged under the Penal Code with voluntarily causing grievous hurt on Rozana at a house in Taman Ukay Bistari.MYNEWSHUB/Text: SARA KHALID
