Courier Company Driver Claims Trial To CBT Charge

JOHOR BAHRU – A lorry driver with a courier company pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to a charge of criminal breach of trust (CBT) over a consignment of computer chips and electronic components worth nearly RM1 million, earlier this month.

Mohd Fazri Zahari, 34, allegedly committed the offence while on the way to send the consignment to DHL Express (M) Sdn Bhd, Tebrau 2 Industrial Area, Johor Baru at 2.45pm on January 1.

Magistrate Tan Chai Wei set bail at RM8,000 with one surety and fixed January 31 for re-mention.

Deputy public prosecutor Muhamad Taufik Saberi appeared for the prosecution and the accused was represented by counsel Nor Shahid Abd Malik. – BERNAMA
