PUTRAJAYA – The trend by local cosmetics companies to be associated with football to spread their brand names through sponsorship seems to have heated up with Nouvelles Visages (NV) joining the race after Kelantan had signed with .
Nouvelles Visages managing director Erni Dekritawati Yuliana Buhari said three state teams playing in the M-League were in discussions with the company with a view for sponsorship.
“We are in discussions and in contact regularly with the teams,” said cosmetics entrepreneur Rita Sosilawati without revealing the identity of the states.
“We are interested in sponsoring…and certainly we are looking at becoming the main sponsor,” she said when met at the launch of Idol Spa by Nori Tun Abdullah, the wife of Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, here today.
Rita, the daughter of businesswoman Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya who was believed to have been murdered, said the company would not rush into making any hasty decisions but rather consider the pros and cons before accepting.
“The company will make an announcement soon,” she said.
Last week, the Football Association of Kelantan (KAFA) had agreed to accept a sponsorship deal from Vida Beauty Sdn Bhd – BERNAMA
