MELAKA – Two men believed to be involved in more than 12 kindergarten break-ins here since January were detained by police in Batu Berendam and Bachang respectively about 5pm yesterday.
Melaka Tengah District Police chief, ACP Shaikh Abdul Adzis Shaikh Abdullah said initial investigations revealed that the suspects, aged 32 and 35, had no other accomplice and both had records for drug-related offences.
“During the raid on the suspect in Bachang, police found fake gold worth about RM1,000, which was reported missing from a premises in Jalan Hang Tuah.
“The suspect also owned a luxury car believed to be used to carry out the burglaries,” he said at a press conference here today. – BERNAMA
