KUALA LUMPUR: “Come back if you dareâ€, said IGP Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar (pic) in issuing a challenge to Malaysian Islamic State (IS) members.
The Inspector-General of Police was responding to the video made by a Malaysian militant, who directly threatened the Federal Police.
“These militants threaten everyone from afar via video recordings.
“If you are brave enough then come back and face us,†he told a press conference after launching the Go to Safety Point initiative on Friday.
While the police are taking such threats seriously, the country’s top cop insists that they will not be shaken or intimidated.
“Don’t ever try to provoke or challenge us.
“The video published recently was not the first one nor will it be the last. The police is always on alert no matter the circumstances,†he said.
Khalid vowed that Bukit Aman would not allow IS militants to gain any foothold in the country.
