KUALA LUMPUR – Any plan to change the government other than through the election process, and conspiring with other parties to do so is a wrong and undemocratic move, said Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Salleh Said Keruak.
In this matter, he pointed out that everyone must respect the democratic principles which had been the practice in the country since independence.
“Any change must be made during the general election…because it is the platform for us to contest in politics,” he told reporters after participating in the program “Kayuhan Sehati Sejiwa” in conjunction with the Merdeka Month 2015, here today.
He said that the ruling party or the opposition would present their political and economic policies to the people during the general election, and it was the people who would decide the new ruling party.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi yesterday disclosed that there was an attempt to topple the government masterminded by an UMNO leader with support from the opposition Members of Parliament. – BERNAMA
