KUALA LUMPUR: Controversial cartoonist, Zulkifli Anwar Ulhaque (pic), better known as Zunar, has been remanded for three days until Friday for investigation into his Twitter comment over the Federal Court’s decision on Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s appeal case.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief SAC Zainuddin Ahmad said police hoped to wrap up the investigation into the case soon.
“The probe is conducted under Section 4(1)(c) of the Sedition Act 1948 by Bukit Aman,” he told Bernama.
Zunar was arrested Tuesday night, hours after the Federal Court’s conviction of Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Zainuddin Ahmad said that the arrest was made in front of the cartoonist’s house in Pantai Dalam.-The Star
