SHAH ALAM:cPolice investigations revealed the businessman who was shot dead in his vehicle near the Sungai Rasau Toll Plaza on Wednesday did not have any enemies.

District police chief, Assistant Commissioner Shafien Mamat said Gooi Tan Hock, 43, was a snooker table trader and had been in the business for a year.

“His family and friends said he did not have any enemies and was not in any trouble,” Shafien told reporters after attending a breaking of fast function here today.

In the incident around 4.35pm, Gooi was believed to be heading home to Kajang from Klang when he was shot dead by a man on motorcycle, who had been tailing the Toyota Vellfire he was driving.

Shafien said the victim was believed to have been shot while paying toll using his Touch N Go card, causing the vehicle to skid to the left lane.

He said the post mortem found two bullets in the body of the victim who did not have any conviction record.

Police would send the relevant CCTV recording to the forensic unit, to identify the registration number of the suspect’s motorcycle, he said.– BERNAMA
