Burst Pipe: Water Supply Disruptions In 63 Areas

KUALA LUMPUR – Sixty-three areas in the Gombak Region will experience temporary water supply disruptions today following repair works on broken pipes near Jalan Lingkaran Tengah 2 (MRR2), Dataran Ukay, Hulu Klang, here.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said in a statement the repair works on the pipes measuring 600 millimeters were being carried out and expected to be ready today.

“The affected areas are Kampung Pasir; Taman Kelab Ukay; Taman Bukit Mulia; Taman Sering Ukay; Tinjani Ukay; Taman Ukay Seraya; Taman Ukay Tropika; Taman Beverly Height; Taman Bukit Jubina; Taman Pinggiran Ukay; seluruh Taman Bukit Antarabangsa; Taman Wangsa Ukay; Taman Bukit Mewah; Taman Bukit Utama; Taman Bukit Jaya; Taman Puncak Bukit Utama; Kampung Sungai Sering; Taman Villa Sri Ukay; Taman Sri Ukay and Taman Hill View,” the statement said.

Other affected areas are Bukit Madona Hulu Kelang; Taman Ukay Height; Taman Ampang Jaya; Kuala Ampang; Hotel Flamingo; Hospital Ampang Puteri; Taman TAR; Hill Side Estate; Kampung Dato Mufti; Taman Ampang Indah; Taman Bukit Indah; Taman TTDI Jaya Bukit Indah Ampang; Taman DAR; Taman Ampang Utama; Kampung Melayu Ampang; Taman Grandview Ampang; Kampung Baru Ampang; Bandar Baru Ampang; Apartment Mesra Ria and Apartment Mesra Prima.

Also affected are Apartment Mesra Villa; Taman Kosas; Taman Rasmi Jaya; Taman Uda Jaya; Taman Perwira Ampang; Taman Sri Ampang; Taman Watan; Taman Halaman Kesuma; Taman Dagang Permai; Taman Bukit Ampang; Kampung Muhibah Ampang; Ampang Waterfront; Aeon Big Ampang; Kampung Tasik Permai; Kampung Ampang Indah; Kampung Indah Permai; Kampung Ampang Campuran; Taman Faizura Ampang; Taman Permai Jaya Ampang; Kampung/Taman Tasek Tambahan; Taman Sri Bayu Ampang; Taman Sri Baru Ampang; and Pasar Kampung Tasik Permai.

Water supply to the whole area would resume in stages shortly after the repair works had been completed.

Syabas said water tanker lorries would be mobilised and sent to the affected areas with priority being given to critical users. – BERNAMA
