KLUANG – Seven Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates from Ladang Mutiara near Kahang here almost missed their exams when the access road to their homes was cut off due to flash floods early Wednesday.
The Kluang Fire and Rescue Department came to their aid and transported the three male and four female students to their examination centre using a truck.
Kluang fire chief Akob Sidek said they received a call at 6.30am Wednesday and arrived at Ladang Mutiara at 7.20am.
“The dirt road in the estate was flooded up to waist level due to last night’s heavy rain and was not passable to light vehicles,” he said. – The Star Online
