JOHOR BARU- Barisan Nasional (BN) Johor stressed that it will cooperate in the best possible way in ensuring fast and peaceful transfer of power in the state.
The coalition’s state chief, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, congratulated the opposition pact in forming the new Johor state government.
“Johor BN will cooperate in a best possible manner in ensuring that the transfer of power is done fast and in a peaceful manner.
“Me and the Johor BN accept the decision with an open heart. The people’s democratic voice should be respected and we will give our commitment in respecting the choice of the people,” he said.
Khaled was speaking at a special BN Johor press conference at the state Umno Liasion headquarters, here today.
Also present was BN Johor secretary, Datuk Md Jais Sarday and the coalition’s state leaders.
Khaled hoped the new state government will do its best in ensuring the prosperity of the people are taken care.
“The party (BN) will look into (the factors behind its loss), including Johor.
“Maybe, there is a wisdom (in the loss of the Parliament and state seat). We will have an opportunity to talk about it, one day,” Khaled said on his loss of both the Pasir Gudang Parliament and Permas state seat.- New Straits Times
