SEPANG: The remand order on a civil servant and her boyfriend suspected to be involved in the death of a baby girl at an apartment in Putra Perdana last week has been extended for another six days from tomorrow.
The extension of the remand order was issued by Magistrate Court’s deputy registrar Alpha Dragam here Friday.
The initial one-week remand order on the woman and her boyfriend ended today.
The 19-month-old girl, who was the woman’s first child, died on April 1 believed to have been hurled to the floor.
A post-mortem at the Serdang Hospital revealed that the death was due to blunt force trauma.
According to initial police investigations, the victim was crying to follow her mother to work, but the male suspect flew into a rage and slammed the toddler to the floor.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
