SHAH ALAM – Selangor Mentri Besar Azmin Ali has presented his maiden budget at the state assembly, giving almost equal attention to developmental and operational expenses.
Azmin tabled Monday an allocation of RM2.42bil for his 2015 budget, concentrating on six focus areas.
Of the amount allocated, about RM1.29bil will go towards operation and about RM1.13bil towards development.
In delivering his budget, Azmin said given global economic trends as well as the national economic scenario, Selangorâ€™s economy is one that is developmental in nature.
He also added that the state would focus on poverty eradication in Selangor.
â€œIn our efforts to achieve social justice and fair distribution, poverty must be eradicated in Selangor,â€™â€™ said Azmin. – The Star Online
