Armada Leaders Call For Deregistration Of PPBM

in Latest/Politics

BENTONG – Leaders of the Angkatan Bersatu Anak Muda (Armada) youth wing of the opposition Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) here today urged the Registrar of Societies to deregister PPBM for having allegedly cheated them into thinking that Armada was a legal entity.

Lanchang Armada representative Airul Amir Amirudin said Armada was not legally provided for in the PPBM constitution.

He also called for the resignation of Armada chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman for having allegedly failed to address the registration of Armada as a PPBM wing.

Another leader, Mohd Izaid Mohd Nor, said he was disappointed with PPBM chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Syed Saddiq for not having resolved the Armada issue as well as other issues in the party.

On Oct 20, former Armada executive committee member Mohamad Taufik Abas claimed that a check at the Registrar of Societies showed that Armada was not mentioned in the PPBM constitution but only the youth, women’s and Srikandi (girls’) wings. – BERNAMA
