PETALING JAYA – The Magistrate’s Court here today fixed April 11 for remention of a drug case involving local actor Sofi Jikan.
Magistrate Nurulhuda Zakariya set the date after deputy public prosecutor Natasha Chin Le Jy informed the court that the relevant documents have been handed over to defence counsel Datuk Haniff Hassan.
Sofi Jikan, whose real name is Mohamad Shoffi Jikan, 48, is accused of using THC (11-nor-delta-9-tetrahydro cannabinol-9-carboxylic acid) at the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters’ narcotics office, at 11.15 pm on Feb 6 this year.
The charge under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 carries a maximum two years jail or RM5,000 fine or both, on conviction. – BERNAMA
