GEORGE TOWN – Another PAS representative from the Penang state government is expected to resign from his position soon.
Kepala Batas PAS committee member Dahalan Fadzil told theSun that he will resign from his position as an MPSP councilor to focus on helping the people.
According to him, his service to the people is more important than positions in the state government.
“I have taken the decision to resign from my post as a councilor in MPSP.
“I will channel my commitment to the people as a PAS member”, he told theSun today.
Meanwhile Permatang Pauh PAS division chief Omar Hassan said PAS was committed with PR even though the DAP central executive meeting on June 15 had resolved that the coalition cease to exist.
Omar when contacted by theSun said PAS will stay with PR and will always be committed with its struggle for the people.
“If they decide like that , I think it is better for them to be outside of PR, we PAS are still committed to PR”, he told theSun.
Omar Hassan is one of the PAS representatives in the state government who is still holding the position as a councillor.
With the resignation of Dahalan , Omar and Tanjung PAS divison chief Yacoob Omar still hold their respective positions in MPSP and MBPP.
