PUTRAJAYA – A company managing director with the title of ‘Datuk’ has become the fourth individual to be remanded to facilitate investigations pertaining to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB)’s accounts.
The four-day remand order on the 48-year-old man was issued by magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Wan Ab Rahim here Saturday.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said it detained the man when he came to its office voluntarily at 7 pm yesterday to give his statement.
Earlier, the court released another company managing director, also a ‘Datuk’, who was remanded on Wednesday.
The man aged 54, who was the second individual to be remanded in connection with the case, has been released on MACC bail of RM100,000 with RM20,000 deposited in cash and RM80,000 on oral undertaking by two sureties. – BERNAMA
