TAWAU – Another 1Malaysia Clinic has been opened in Tawau making it the third clinic to operate in the district.
Deputy Education Minister Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching said the opening of the clinic showed that the government was always concerned about the less fortunate people.
“The clinic can provide health care services to the local community, besides reducing congestion at the other 1Malaysia Clinics.
“Patients only pay RM1 each time they received treatment at the clinic, while those who are 60 years old and above can receive free treatment…these tariffs can facilitate and ease the burden of patients who are less fortunate,” she said when opening the 1Malaysia Clinic at Bandar Fajar, here today.
He said the establishment of the 1Malaysia Clinic also reduced the congestion at government clinics, thus reducing the waiting time for patients.
The previous two 1Malaysia Clinics opened in the district were in Bandar Sri Indah and Semarak.
The clinics operate daily from 9am to 9pm, including public holidays (subject to announcement) and weekends. – BERNAMA
