KUALA LUMPUR – All Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara)-sponsored students in Paris, France are safe following the series of attacks there late on Friday.
However, Mara deputy director-general (Education) Abdul Halim Abas declined to reveal the number of Malaysian students studying there.
He said based on information received, no Malaysian students were at the scene of the attacks.
“The students are located far away from the incidents. Mara will channel updates on their situation,” he told Bernama here, today.
He said MARA officers were constantly monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of the students.
In this regard, parents and students are advised not to worry over the latter’s safety and to continue keeping in touch with one another. – BERNAMA
