GEORGE TOWN – Police have released all 156 Penang Voluntary Patrol Unit (PPS) members who were arrested after they took part in a Merdeka Day parade on Sunday.
The last group of 11 members stepped out of the district police headquarters here yesterday at 11.18pm.
The first group, including PPS coordinator Phee Boon Poh (pic), was released at 6pm.
Twenty-one members, including seven women and those aged 60 and above, were released on Sunday.
However, northeast district police chief ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said that only Seri Delima assemblyman R. S. N. Rayer is being detained to facilitate investigations. – Bernama
